Mesa at the Boracay Regency

remember me telling you here how sometimes it gets crazy
deciding where to eat in Boracay? well, here's one more
joint to try! :) i hope this helps even a little. haha. :P
but if you're one rich girl who stays in the more upscale hotels and never
leaves the hotel grounds, you might wanna read something else. ;)

Mesa is a high-end modern Filipino restaurant from the Lamesa Grill group
owned by Kiko Pangilinan. it is housed at the Boracay Mandarin. so
basically i'm not talking about the Greenbelt branch in Manila. ;)
so anyway, back to Boracay! if you're walking around D'Mall
trying to find a place to eat, you will have to walk towards Station 3
instead and make sure you're not too hungry. :P

baby squids for starters. :)
i swear this has the biggest serving. i just could not remember
how much it was, but it's sulit!

aaahh, the lovely chicken honey patis! ;)
yes, lovely! i am not a chicken person, especially if the
skin is not crispy-fried, because i don't know how to eat chicken
the proper way. i always waste a third of the edible part.
but! this is the first time i ate chicken to the last bit of meat!
it's that good! :D i have even been hopelessly trying to cook this at home. ;)

another one of their specialties is the sisig in a pouch. :)

don't forget to try the crispy tilapia. :)

Red Coconut in Boracay

one of the very few difficulties i face when in Boracay is the
seemingly endless dining choices. i always get the itch to just
enter the first joint i see just to get it over with and go back to my
enjoying the sun, sand, and water. :)

but of course, after a few times of having to face this difficulty,
the missus has, i believe, learned a little of the art of dining in Boracay. ;)

and for starters, i fell in love with Red Coconut!
the hotel/restaurant/bar is always full mostly with foreigners so
this my best go-to place for breakfast, when crowd's still thin.

their oh-so-melts-in-your-mouth Cheese Omelette.

this may look the most ordinary spaghetti to you, but be fooled not
because it got this lovely taste that makes you want to take
forkful after forkful. (i kept trying to guess the ingredient that
makes it superb while i was finishing the plate, but didn't succeed.)

Red Coconut is well a few steps to Station2 coming from Station1.

the new The Old Spaghetti House menu

...or the menu at least. :)
this post is kind of late since they've launched their new menu
already a few months back. but that's okay because this isn't going to be
really comprehensive anyway. :) i just snapped a few things about the new menu that i love.

this postcard collage on the back cover of the menu is really lovely!
i like artsy stuff so the pretty layout is such a pleasing welcome for me. :)

the messages on the postcard are really sweet too! :)

i love TOSH! it's a warm, comforting joint for me.
it gives me kitchen-from-my-own-home feeling every time i visit. :)

and they have this as their proud addition! :) whattatreat!

and the menu doubles as an envelope bag! just how cool is that! :)
it's what i really love about the new menu. it's gotten so slick! *wootwew*

come rain, come sun, please do not take away my love...
chicken picatta! ahhh, i run out of words each time. :)

and if some magic just happened right there,
and you're wondering why you suddenly have that urge to run to the
nearest TOSH, well, stop wondering and just run! and if you may,
run to these branches above so you can take advantage of the
TOSHMANIA Pasta All You Can Wave 4. =D
