infinite CHAKRA

if you've seen at least one ep of the Naruto saga or read one

chapter of the original manga version, then you might be thinking of

it just now when you saw the title of the post. hihi. ;) *kind of did

that on purpose*

i have honestly never heard of chakra before except

when i'm watching Naruto. oh yes, i do. =)

actually, it started just this summer when i ran out of

dvd while still on my staycation. i was left with no choice

but watch with my lil bro. and boy was i hooked from then on.

just mildly though. *giggle*

see that red energy cloud? that's chakra.

Naruto was all there is to the word until i came across

Georges Chakra. i was tuned to Fashion One when

his name flashed on the screen. what a cutesy name!

but my jaw dropped when i turned my gaze towards the

dress floating on the runway. it was gorgeous!!!

this was not the dress i saw on tv (cause i couldn't find it

on the web). but this is equally, if not more, gorgeous.

plus Emily Blunt's wearing it! *i love her!* ♥

Geoges Chakra was born and raised in Labanon but is now

based in Canada. he has been presenting his haute couture

in the Paris Fashion Week since 2001, and launched

his rtw line called Editions by Georges Chakra in

February of 2009. he manages his fashion house along

with co-founder Jocelyne Abdel Malak.

besides Emily Blunt, he has also dressed big stars like

Beyonce, Rihanna, Tyra Banks and Jennifer Lopez.

the design of this dress is perfectly sexy without sacrificing

being classy. no wonder he's a fave on the red carpet. check the

Georges Chakra website and salivate over his ready-to-wear

collections and oh-so-immaculate wedding gowns. it is difficult to

find great words that are gonna do justice to what awe and

admiration i have for his work. each dress is just a creation

fit for a woman who commands awe from everyone,

and probably everything, she lays eyes on. ♥

 Roberto Cavalli has time and again put me under a spell!♥

you'll never go wrong with all these animal print and '70s

glamour. having Rasa Zukauskaite just makes the campaign

all the mile more gorgeous!♥ i love how she resembles Kate Winslet

in a prettier way. pairing her up with Anne-Marie van Dijk

is a sweet bonus.♥

alexander mcqueen at pfw

the Alexander Mcqueen show's definitely my peg from the Paris

Fashion Week! ♥ they're my colors. it's so great how the house was

able to keep the McQueen identity. i saw his hands in each piece.

even the styling is superb. if there'll be a show i'd love to see in the future,

it's gonna be an Alexander McQueen show.♥ remember me

saying i'd try my hardest to post photos less than 5 when it's from

a show? well, i did my best! i love all these!♥  =]

louis vuitton fall2011 at the pfw

what better way to conclude the Paris Fashion Week?♥

all hearts and thumbs up! the fountain from last time will be forgotten in

no time. this time, the elevator and 4 doormen shall be etched

in everyone's memory along with the gorgeous pieces of course.

Marc Jacobs did a great job again. as expected? hehe.;)

much as looks are drool-worthy, i'm all for the little details

this time. i love the accessories! ♥

dior at pfw

from suspension to firing.

i never thought it'd all end in the firing of John Galliano as

Dior's creative director after his alleged anti-semitic remarks

at a bar that was recorded on video. i did a shrug when i first heard

about it and thought it'd all be clear in no time, and the suspension

will be lifted. but fate didn't side with him, and Dior released

an official statement shortly after the vid was out firing Galliano.

but like everybody said, the show must go on and it did.

as expected, it was far from the usual. before the show started,

the fashion house's CEO delivered a long speech about upholding

Dior's values and not once mentioning Galliano. for the final walkthrough,

seamstresses and other atelier people graced the runway. one can just

imagine how emotional it was. person to replace genius Galliano

has not left the rumor mill ever since.

Karlie Kloss opened the show with a stunning black cape.♥

the first few pieces were very Galliano in their deep hues. the latter

pieces though veered into lighter hues. see more of the collection here.

make MORE way for Mr. Pedro

remember Mr. Pedro? i posted something about him a few months

back. now here's another from his Fall2011 collection as seen from the

Paris Fashion Week. and you can just guess how wonderful the collection is.

on models.com(where i sourced all these lovely close-up snaps), he

was called "fashion's future leader." i personally love the fur detail on

the white dress and how iPads were used for accessories. weren't they so

now? i may just call that CHIC x AUTHORITY, Pedro Lourenco. ♥

i have diligently posted my picks from the nyfw but haven't

Fall2011 at the Paris Fashion Week. what made a buzz for

this show is Lady Gaga's participation. she's known to be good friends

with Nicola Formichetti so everyone speculated that one of her songs

will be used. true enough, the models sashayed on the runway

to her single Government Hooker. but there's more! ha!

yes dear, i had to say that! =) she also walked the runway and

was featured in the livestream from backstage.♥
